The purpose of this webpage is to assist potential clients from Texas on where local Procurement Technical Assistance Centers (PTAC) are located in the State of Texas. The Defense Logistics Agency, on behalf of the Secretary of Defense, administers the DoD Procurement Technical Assistance Program (PTAP). PTACs are hosted by universities, colleges, state or local agencies, and profit and non profit organizations. PTACs provide resources at no or nominal cost to business firms in marketing products and services to the Federal, state, and local government.
The State of Texas operates on Regional Programs and has nine programs with some having subcenters to serve their clients. The program headquarters are located in Amarillo, Corpus Christi, Edinburg, El Paso, Fort Worth, Houston, Lubbock, Lufkin, and San Antonio.
All of the State of Texas PTACs operate together to help businesses be or become successful in government contracting. Large and small businesses are encouraged to register with their local PTAC and they can coordinate any services with other PTACs that you might need.

The nine PTACs of Texas are all members of the Association of Procurement Technical Assistance Centers, which includes contract training and certification for PTAC employees. Because of the nationwide membership of the PTACs - 93 (including Hawaii, Guam, and Puerto Rico); this provides additional resources that can be used to assist businesses in becoming successful in government contracting.
